12/27/14 – As 2014 winds down and becomes part of History, here are a few posts from my Facebook wall. Too many to post all of them from the entire year. These are from the month of December, and only the last half of that month. I wish all of you a very Merry Christmas and a very Happy New Year.
12/22/14 – Did you know this? Over one million of Mexico’s poorest citizens now live inside and along our border. That’s right. From Brownsville, Texas, to San Diego, California, they live in what the New York Times called, ‘colonias’ or new neighborhoods. A nice, sanitized way of putting it, but it in no way describes what’s happening there. Trouble is, those living areas resemble Bombay and Calcutta, where grinding poverty, filth, diseases, drugs, crimes, no sanitation and …worse, exist. They live without sewage, clean water, streets, roads, electricity, or any kind of sanitation. The New York Times reported them to be America’s new ‘Third World’ inside our own country. Within 20 years, at their current growth rate, they expect 20 million residents of those colonias. It’s sickening beyond anything you can imagine.) But it does not need to be. By enforcing our laws, we could repatriate them back to Mexico. We should invite 20 million aliens to go home, fix their own countries, their own economies, create more jobs, and make a better life for themselves in Mexico. We already invite a million people into our country legally annually, more than all other countries combined. We cannot permit this stuff to continue. We must not allow anarchy at our borders, more anarchy within our borders and growing lawlessness at every level in our nation.
12/23/14 – Good Morning, Facebook Friends. Worried about the efforts of Atheists and Agnostics who, every year, attempt to war against Christmas? Well, stop worrying. Take action. Read this: “The Freedom From Religion Foundation is here to out-Grinch the Grinch with a patently absurd message: a Nativity scene violates the separation of church and state. Check your U.S. Constitution. Peruse your Bill of Rights. That phrase is not there, and for a good reason: We’re guaranteed freedom of religion, not freedom from religion. We have no official state-sanctioned church, but the notion that we are to expunge every trace of religious belief from the public square is an unconstitutional invention by those who are either misinformed or hostile to religion.” Ed Feulner.
12/23/14 – Yesterday, “The New York Times ratcheted up its already stratospheric level of anti-cop polemics. In an editorial justifying the Ferguson riots, the Times claimed that “the killing of young black men by police is a common feature of African-American life and a source of dread for black parents from coast to coast.” Some facts: Police killings of blacks are an extremely rare feature of black life and are a minute fraction of black homicide deaths. The police could end all killings of civilians tomorrow and it would have no effect on the black homicide risk, which comes overwhelmingly from other blacks. In 2013, there were 6,261 black homicide victims in the U.S.—almost all killed by black civilians—resulting in a death risk in inner cities that is ten times higher for blacks than for whites. None of those killings triggered mass protests; they are deemed normal and beneath notice. The police, by contrast, according to published reports, kill roughly 200 blacks a year, most of them armed and dangerous, out of about 40 million police-civilian contacts a year. Blacks are in fact killed by police at a lower rate than their threat to officers would predict. In 2013, blacks made up 42 percent of all cop killers whose race was known, even though blacks are only 13 percent of the nation’s population. The percentage of black suspects killed by the police nationally is 29 percent lower than the percentage of blacks mortally threatening them. . . .” Heather MacDonald.
12/24/14 – The latest shooting in Berkeley, MO of a young black man by a white police officer raises a couple of questions. First, a fact: the entire incident was filmed by the gas station surveillance cameras. So, everyone including the “Sharpton’s of Missouri,” can see what happened. Lies will be quickly disproved and will not be credible. Second, what possessed this young man to pull a gun on a police officer? Do that and you are a dead man. Third, was this suicide by cop? The man’s girlfriend has, so far, refused to comment. Does she know what her boyfriend’s state of mind was? The man was shown on video leaving the store, but not with her – with another man. Did he intend to die that night at the hands of a police officer?
12/24/14 – Heard that Sheriff Arpaio’s lawsuit against Barack Obama’s unconstitutional recent action on immigration was thrown out by a federal judge in the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia? Surprised? Beryl A. Howell is the name of the judge. A liberal Democrat woman, she sits on the bench of the United States District Court for the District of Columbia. She was nominated (ready for this?) by President Barack Husein Obama on July 14, 2010 and confirmed by the U.S. Senate (led by Democrats) on December 27, 2010. What would you expect someone like that to do? This is, remember, the court that Obama attempted to stack with liberal judges, a la former President Roosevelt’s attempt to do the same with the Supreme Court back in the 1940s. Roosevelt failed. Obama succeeded. This is one reason why Republicans should NOT cooperate with Obama on ANYTHING: not even to confirm his nominees to the courts. What to do? For now, tell your Senators.
12/27/14 – “The days dwindle down to a precious few . . .” In just four, 2014 will be History. On December 4, 2013, a short year ago, Eric Golub, a prominent national blogger (The Tygrrr Express), a smart Conservative Republican, and a Jewish acquaintance of mine, offered some advice to Republicans for the year 2014, now passed. “In 2014, Republicans and conservatives must hammer the daylights out of Obama on a daily basis. When liberals complain that Republicans are obstructing everything he is trying to do, it is because he is wrong about everything he is trying to do.. . .” And this: “Republicans do not need a leader, because that would give the left a target to demonize. Let the left attack Sarah Palin, Fox News and Rush Limbaugh. Those attacks will look pathetic because they are pathetic. None of them have ever been in the White House or Congress.. . .”
